NBA YoungBoy created history on Monday, according to Billboard, by reaching number one on the Billboard 200 with his song “Sincerely, Kentrell.” Kentrell became the first hip-hop artist to hit number one for three years in a row, in addition to his fourth number one.
According to Billboard Charts, pop singer Taylor Swift is the only other artist with three consecutive wins. According to Billboard, the album “Sincerely, Kentrell” sold 137,000 equivalent album units in the United States. NBA YoungBoy, although being relatively new to the industry, has already charted 18 albums on the Billboard 200. NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested in March 2021 in Los Angeles, as previously reported. The accusations are said to be related to an arrest in September 2020 for criminal firearm possession. After the government filed a motion, he was granted bond, but it was later revoked.
