Adele announced that her next album, 30, would be released in the middle of November. And, as fans awaited the first single, she teased a music on Instagram Live that seemed like it may be the first track. “Easy On Me” is out today and officially the lead song for her new age, so we know it’s true. While reports circulated that a new Adele album would be released before the end of 2020, fans were eventually informed that the album would not be released until 2021.
Adele, on the other hand, seemed content to take her time this year. It wasn’t until October that advertisements started to appear, hinting that the record was finally on its way. Six years have passed since she last recorded music, with the massive album 25, in 2015. Adele ended her marriage and dropped a large amount of weight during that time, two major life adjustments. Because she usually provides us with lots of epic heartache material, it appears like suffering through one of the most severe types of love pain will provide her with even more fodder than usual.
