Many of us have learnt that when it comes to her solo career, Chloe Bailey is a force to be reckoned with. Fans have drawn parallels between her and her mentor, Beyoncé, as a result. She discussed the parallels in a recent interview and explained what they mean to her. Chloe stopped on The Breakfast Club while on her promotional tour, and when asked if she had spoken to Beyoncé about the recent parallels, Chloe said, “I love her so much.”
We chat about anything and everything, and I’m thankful to have her blessing, as well as her words of support. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. And it’s quite nice and inspiring to know that the counsel she’s given me is directly from where I’ve been.” Chloe went on to explain that she appreciates the analogies and that they are the “greatest compliment” anyone could offer her. She did admit, though, that she still has a lot of work to do in her career. Chloe and her sister Halle Bailey are signed to Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment label, as many of you know. Many of the Beyoncé comparisons started after she launched her first solo album. “Have Mercy.”
At the 2021 VMAs, she gave her first solo performance. The official music video for “Have Mercy” was later released. When she sang the song on “The Tonight Show” earlier this week, the comparisons continued. She appeared to answer critics who said she was doing too much during that performance, as we previously reported. “Doing too much is my expertise,” she simply stated on Twitter.
