2 Chainz’s seventh album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself, will be released sometime this month. The Atlanta native revealed the news to kick off the new year, and it’s expected to be a solid follow-up to his 2020 release So Help Me God, whichever day it arrives. As 2 Chainz previously stated, Dope Don’t Sell Itself might be the end of an era for him, as he previously stated that his next album will be his “final trap album.” It’s unclear whether that statement will hold true, but for now, we can enjoy the first single from Dope Don’t Sell Itself.
The music finds 2 Chainz standing tall as a veteran in both the rap game and the streets, enlisting the support of Detroit rapper 42 Dugg and production from LilJuMadeDaBeat for his latest single, “Million Dollars Worth Of Game.” The knowledge and wisdom he’s accumulated over the years is reflected in the tune, which he imparts over the hook and a verse of his own on the song. In addition to the track, the video has 2 Chainz and 42 Dugg in a gorgeous estate and are surrounded by a cast of attractive women.
This is the follow-up to 2 Chainz’s collaboration with DJ Premier on “Mortgage Free,” which he released last month. 42 Dugg’s participation comes after he and Lil Durk collaborated on a video for their “Free Ric” tune.
