It looks like Old man Brett has finally decided to call it a career and walk away from the NFC runner-up Vikings and let go of his dream of chasing another Superbowl title.
Reports are surfacing all over the net and especially on ESPN that the Minnesota Vikings QB has informed his teammates he will retire. Neither the team or Favre has confirmed the story as of yet, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that he sent a text message to his teammates informing them of his decision. BUt knowing Brett’s history, I’m pretty sure that his teammates won’t believe it til opening day.
This comes as the third retirement for Favre. His previous ones were from the Packers and Jets.
Many fans are sure to be disappointed with the decision considering Favre had one of his best seasons ever last year. He led the Vikings within 3 points of a Super Bowl berth and had perhaps his best statistical year ever.
