When you have over 250,000 followers you must use Twitter wisely. Spike Lee did the ultimate Twitter no no when he tweeted the wrong address for George Zimmerman. Spike retweeted the tweet of Twitter user Marcus Davonne Higgins that included an address that was not Zimmerman’s, but an elderly couple in the area.

What makes it that much worse is now the elderly couple who has been identified as David McClain, 72, and his wife Elaine, 70, is now the center of the controversy involving the famed director.

The couple has stated that they are afraid and is keeping everything locked and are now considering legal action.

Elaine said “Maybe we should get a lawyer and send a cease-and-desist letter to Spike Lee.”

Spike Lee still has the incorrect address posted on his Twitter account and has not yet issued a correction for the misprint.

Come on Spike Lee, do the right thing and delete the tweet.
