Kendrick’s Challenge Has Been Accepted: Rappers Are Responding

A lot of rappers have responded to Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control" but the best response might be from someone you don't even know.

When people heard Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Control” by Big Sean, the internet went crazy. There were discussions over who he did, or didn’t call out, and who was really the best MC. A lot of rappers understood the concept and decided to step their bars up. The fact that one verse has caused rappers to step up is truly monumental. Usually it takes at least a full album for these guys to get it but what K-Dot did was put the whole game on notice with just one verse that he’s featured on, on someone else’s song. That’s powerful right there.

Now out of all the responses I heard to Kendrick Lamar, there was one in particular that I have to give attention to. It comes from an up and coming rapper who goes by the name of Hasani, who’s straight out of Chicago. I stumbled upon his response and was hooked instantly. This is something that the people definitely need to hear, this is hip-hop at it’s finest. Somebody sign the kid already. You may not know of him right now, but by the end of his first 8 bars you’ll be wanting to know more.
