Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Why Hasn’t #BlackLivesMatter Been Labeled a Hate Group

Elisabeth Hasselbeck thinks #BlackLivesMatter is so dangerous that it should be classified as a hate group.

During a segment on the Black Lives Matter movement yesterday morning, “Fox and Friends” host Elisabeth Hasselbeck suggested that the organization be labeled a hate group.

Fox brought on conservative African-American writer Kevin Jackson to discuss the Saturday Black Lives Matter protest at the Minnesota State Fair and the Friday shooting of a Texas sheriff’s deputy.

“Kevin, why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified yet as a hate group?” Hasselbeck asked Jackson during the segment. “How much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?”

The thing that’s troubling the most watching this brief exchange between the two on whether the movement should be considered a hate group is the fact that this is coming from Fox News, and the same can easily be said about them. And justifiably so. Fox News’ history is extensive when it comes to hate, and this is just another blatant attempt at igniting “the NAACP is racist. Why isn’t there an organization for the advancement of White people,” “Why are there black beauty pageants? If white people had an all white beauty pageant, they would call it racist,” and other similar arguments based on faulty reasoning.

Also, notice the tactic that Hasselbeck uses a common trait with Fox News. She’s only asking a question. A question, which Fox News then takes and spins for their agenda. Something that Fox News has become known for.

Hasselbeck basically compares a movement whose main message is literally just that black people deserve to be alive to hate groups such as the KKK, the Aryan Brotherhood and the Westboro Baptist Church.

To many who share the same views as Hasselbeck, any discussion of an organization that attempts to address issues unique to minority communities is racist.

And for like the billionth time, it’s not that Black Lives Matter and whites lives don’t. It’s that Black Lives Matter, too. But through the special Tea Party glasses, the name of the group might as well read: Kill the White People.
