It’s incredible to think that it’s literally just over two weeks until the next groundbreaking Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters, and all over the world people are counting down in their own special ways and paying homage to the classic franchise. While Christmas means that the shelves of stores will be dominated by the likes of Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, Han Solo and more, other establishments have their own unique ways to celebrate, including the Alamo Drafthouse theater in Omaha, Nebraska.
Looking to take things a step further in their clear love for the Star Wars series, they have incredibly themed their whole premises on the galaxy far, far away and come up with an absolutely crazy interior that immerses visitors in the world George Lucas created all those years ago.
The team at the Alamo had this to say about their creation;
We wanted to construct and install a lobby theme that would make us unique in our Omaha market as well as the midwest. We also wanted a theme that was built around an iconic film and to completely own that theme to immerse our guests in the experience. That is when Star Wars came into the picture and it just so happened that we timed it out just right with the announcement of the huge plans for a new Star Wars legacy starting this December. It is a permanent installation and will be the destination to see all of the new Star Wars films.
Hopefully, this is something that sticks around at the venue for some time, especially with the Force currently the strongest it has been in years, and who knows, they may even adapt the idea to other films further down the line.
One can imagine films such as Back to the Future, Star Trek, Jurassic Park and so many more receiving the interior decoration treatment, but for now let us marvel at this fantastic idea.
