The situation has escalated. Arrest warrants have been issued for both Katt Williams and Luke Walsh, the 17-year-old he punched last week. Police in Gainseville, Georgia have confirmed that both have been charged with disorderly conduct.
While this may be a minor slap on the wrist for Walsh who is 17-year-old but charged as an adult these charges may have more severe consequences for Williams. According to police the fight with Walsh violates the terms of Katt’s conditional bond after he allegedly assaulted his bodyguard recently TMZ reports.
Had either thought they would end up facing charges for the scuffle they probably would have both kept their mouths closed. Katt has spoken on the soccer brawl during his recent stand up
“He was saying (expletives) the whole time,” Williams said of the 17-year-old, who he said he thought he was about 19, during his standup routine. “He talked (bleep) about me the whole game. My teammates are trying to let me know something ain’t right. He says some slick (bleep).”
Williams said he told the teen, “Hey, y’all know you can’t win this game?” and asked what all the smack talk was about. The teen was not intimidated, asking, “What are you gonna do about it?” Williams related.
“I said listen, you know I’m in trouble with the (bleepity bleep) law,” Williams said. “Just understand I can take your ass around this (bleeping) corner. I will explain to you you don’t talk to grown men like this.”
Luke Walsh has also given interviews since he was seen being sucker punched by the comedian. Walsh who is known for wrestling had no problem taking Katt to the ground. has said
“We were playing a game of soccer and I just thought it was a soccer game, but stuff happens in sports. He took me over to a secluded area and asked me to hit him and I was like, “I’m not just going to hit you. You want to square up? And then he sucker-punched me so I did what I did. I tried to shake his hand and he was like, ‘back off me little boy’. I don’t know if he was sour, but it is what it is.”
