Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House infectious disease expert has revealed that the US could potentially have another coronavirus outbreak in the fall.
Fauci is currently a staple part of the White House coronavirus task force and spoke about the shocking revelation at a press conference.
“In fact, I would anticipate that that would actually happen because of the degree of transmissibility,” Fauci said when a reporter asked about the possible return of the virus.
However, Fauci did reveal that we would be better equipped to handle the virus in Fall if his predictions did come true.
“Our ability to go out and be able to test, identify, isolate, and contact trace will be orders of magnitude better than what it was just a couple of months ago,” he added.
Fauci said by fall vaccines for the coronavirus would hopefully be ready for use “that’s on track, and multiple other candidates.”
“What we’re going through right now is going to be more than just lessons learned, it’s going to be things that we have available to use that we did not have before,” he added.
As of Tuesday morning, the Coronavirus is responsible for the deaths over 3,000 Americans, surpassing the number of people who died on 9/11.
