The rapper-actor is sending separate messages to his past flames on two different social media profiles. He publicly shot his shot with his ex-girlfriend Angela Simmons on Twitter, naming her in a message. He said:
Instead of pursuing his other ex, “Love and Hip Hop” star Erica Mena, as he did with Simmons, Bow Wow decided to give Mena some encouraging words as she navigates her tumultuous divorce. “ERICA KEEP YO HEAD UP,” he posted in his Instagram Story. After the birth of their second child in June, Mena is presently splitting from her estranged spouse, Safaree Samuels. Over the previous year and a half, the two have spat barbs on social media, and now their marriage difficulties are on display for all to see on “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
Bow Wow, real name Shad Moss, must have been thinking about his ex-girlfriends at the same moment, because each message was posted around the same time. It’s unclear which of the two he posted first. Bow Wow and Simmons, both in their 30s, have a long history that dates back to when they were both 17 years old. Their romance began when they were teenagers and lasted until their early twenties. While they never became boyfriend and girlfriend, the two have stayed friends and have admitted to having affections for each other on the show “Growing Up Hip Hop.”
Simmons and Moss were allowed to explore a romance with Mena during one of their off days. People were startled when Erica Mena and the rapper of “Let Me Hold You” declared their romance in 2014. They kissed on “106 & Park” before announcing their relationship, which fuelled speculations. Mena stated they were not only in a relationship, but also engaged, later that year at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards. However, by the following year, the couple had called off their wedding and parted ways. Following their split, they had their share of drama, with Mena accusing Moss of being abusive and the two fighting on social media.
It’s not clear whether Simmons or Mena have seen the messages, but so far neither has responded. Simmons is currently single and is a mother of one and Mena is a mother of three. Moss has two children, neither with Simmons or Mena.
