Truitt plays Rebecca ” Rebel” Knight. A police detective who loses her job from the Oakland police force. In the hopes of stopping him from gunning down her little brother. She goes on to fight crime as a P.I. Under intense Internal Affairs/ criminal investigation. Rebecca struggles with her brother’s murder. And defending herself from the dirty cops who are out for revenge. The series will delve into the complexities of officers of colors. Addressing misconduct and police brutality that encounters in the United States.
Danielle Moné Truitt is the true definition of a Triple Threat. The actor, singer, and dancer hails from Sacramento, California. She studied Theatre and Dance at Sacramento State University. Some of her other stage credits include In The Heights, Neat, Aida, A Raisin in the Sun and Hair. Truitt has appeared on TV in guest-starring roles on ABC’s Super Fun Night and FOX’s Mulaney.
Some of her film experience includes her role as Kay, in FOX DIGITAL’S feature film ETXR. Aside from performing, Truitt is a wife and mother of two young sons. Danielle Mone’ Truitt produced MoreThanAHashtag. The open panel discussion addressed issues surrounding the misuse of the police force. The event’s purpose was to rekindle and bring forth awareness towards injustice in the United States.
Truitt along with her husband partners with “The Livingroom” Ministries in Van Nuys, California. The ministry works with The Hope of the Valley to help serve and provide meals and to the homeless community. The organization has worked with foster youth and boys’ homes. Truitt and her husband hold a music, poetry, and comedy event called “MY FIRST FRIDAYS”. Artists from all over come to perform. It has become one of the most popular events in Southern California.
Truitt has established herself as an actress. She is the leading lady in her own life continues to tackle new opportunities with more challenging roles head on.
