Who says there aren’t any good people out there? During a track meet in Philly between Germantown High and West Philly. Several shot putters spotted black smoke billowing from a house nearby and heard a woman screaming. Three boys from the Germantown team (Dwyne Hall, Sherrod Graham, and Jerome Plant) and one from the West Philly team (Kyle Young) ran over to the house. Inside the woman was trying to make her way to the second floor to rescue her kittens but the young guided the woman out before the fire got worse. Not only did the young men help the elderly lady out the house, but they gave her sweat pants and a sweat shirt to keep here warm. The fire was extinguished in about 15 minutes.
After the fire was put out, they resumed the track meet. In the shot put, Hall and Graham placed third and fourth, respectively, while Young finished in sixth place. In the end, they are a reminder that there are still good people out there willing to risk their own well being to help someone else. Much respect to those guys.
