Alicia Keys just made Oprah’s day.
She has signed on to play Lena Horne in the Oprah Winfrey produced biopic that plans to begin shooting next year. Oprah wanted Keys all along even though it was rumored that Janet (Jackson) was in the running as well.
Based on looks alone I can see this working well. Alicia Keys looks like she could be a younger Lena Horne’s twin. If her performance in “Smoking Aces” was an indication of her acting chops, I think Alicia will do very well in this movie. The sky’s the limit for my future wife. 😉
