The Big Bang Theory is back in the news and it’s back with a bang! The official announcement of the renewal of the 10th Season is all over the internet with Kaley Cuoco posting a picture with Johnny Galecki aka Leonard, with the caption “We Back!” and fans like me, of the show, couldn’t be happier.
By the looks of it, the latest season is going to be all about family. First, there were reports about Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf) hooking up with Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) father, Alfred (Judd Hirsch). Then the network teased the audience with the casting of Penny’s (Kaley Cuoco) mother and brother to be played by Cuoco’s on-screen mother in the early 2000’s ABC comedy, “8 Simple Rules,” Katey Sagal and “30 Rock” actor Jack McBrayer. And the latest addition to the reports is about Howard’s (Simon Helberg) father making an appearance in the sitcom. Howard’s father left his family when he was a child and lost all his contacts.
In a recent interview, Helberg revealed that with the baby coming along in the 10th season it would be interesting to see Howard reunite with his dad and compensate with the time not spent with him. He added that he really wishes that it happens, either Howard’s father is introduced or a story line that includes the talks of him. Talking about the baby he said, “I don’t know anything that ever is going to happen, except that a baby will come out because I know how physiology works. She’s going to have a baby, but I have no idea when.”
Fans are now juggling with questions like “Are Sheldon and Leonard going to step brothers?” or “How will Howard react when he sees his father?” The CBS hit comedy show will begin airing new episodes on September 17, 2016. The best news of all, is that this won’t be the last season of the show.
