Love is in the air for EDM/pop artist Kamryn Marie! The Arizona born, Washington DC bred songstress has just answered “yes” to the big question, and looks forward to starting her new life with her fiancee’ in Nashville, Tennessee this Fall. With so much excitement floating around regarding her big news, Kamryn’s father was not enthused. Shocked at her father’s dismay, she penned her new ballad “Baby Girl” . Produced by Stephen Joseph Antonelli, the emotional folk/pop/country infused song stems from Kamryn’s father’s fear of losing her.
“I eventually realized that his hurtful words were because he was scared of me leaving and growing up, says Kamryn. “So I wrote the song to him and my mother, letting them know that I love them too, but I need to spread my wings and enjoy my new life with my new love”. “Since the song has been shown to them, our relationship has continued to grow stronger.” The J. Lockhart Media produced video was shot at a local wedding venue. It was prior to the photo shoot for the album cover, when Kamryn revealed the song to her parents, which was before the music video had even been considered.
Her parents assumed that she just needed some updated family photos, but in reality, they were capturing the album cover. After the photos were taken, Kamryn played the song for them. It was an emotional moment for all, which resulted in both of her parents crying and Kamryn fighting back her own tears. Needless to say, after sharing countless tears of joy, the escalating family tension quickly subsided. What a surprise!
