Lil Nas X Is ‘Having Contractions’ Hours Before His Debut Album ‘Montero’ Is Born

Promoting the impending release of Montero, Lil Nas X shared a video of him tightly clutching his rotund belly and breathing heavily in pain. “I think it’s coming. I think the baby is coming,” he says while pretending to have contractions.

Lil Nas X’s record-breaking breakthrough single “Old Town Road” was released two years ago, and he’s now preparing to release his debut album, Montero. But, because the musician isn’t one to follow the rules, he’s been promoting his debut record as “pregnant” for weeks, even going so far as to wear a fake baby bump. Lil Nas X continues to dig into the pregnancy ruse by now claiming he’s feeling painful contractions, just hours before the album’s formal release.

Promoting the impending release of Montero, Lil Nas X shared a video of him tightly clutching his rotund belly and breathing heavily in pain. “I think it’s coming. I think the baby is coming,” he says while pretending to have contractions.

Along with the discomfort of contractions, Lil Nas X wanted to make the most of his pregnancy by throwing a Pinterest-worthy baby shower. Cupcakes with images of his Montero album frosted on top, balloons, and a silver throne were all part of his celebration. However, none of his guests showed up on time for the baby shower, much to his dismay. He stated with a video of the occasion, “spent hours preparing things for my baby shower and no one came up.”
